Meet Our Team
Shaina LaBonte
Founder and Lead Nurse Practitioner
Shaina is the founding Nurse Practitioner at Bloom. She is a dedicated mother of three, an experienced healthcare professional, and a passionate advocate for integrative, patient centered care. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep personal understanding of the challenges many face in balancing life’s current demands.

Shaina holds a BSN from American International College and a MSN from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is board certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She is licensed currently in both MA and CT. Her background includes hospital based direct patient care of all ages, emergency care, urgent care, and outpatient psychiatry. Her comprehensive experience allows her to view patient care as a whole, considering the mind, body, and lifestyle, knowing very well the collective impact on overall wellness.

Shaina briefly served in the United States Navy Reserve as a Nurse and proudly supports military, first responders, and parents. She is deeply committed to supporting these communities by offering specialized care that takes into account the pressures they face.

Shaina has shared in her own personal experiences surrounding miscarriage, maternal life transitions, navigating family member’s medical complexities and end of life, and personal trauma. These experiences have shaped her unique approach to patient care, and she uses these experiences to connect deeply with her patients, offering both understanding and practical support.

Her approach to care is deeply rooted in patient-centered, informed care, which differs from traditional evidence-based practice in that it actively involves the patient in the decision-making process, ensuring that treatment aligns with their personal values and goals. She views each person as an individual, not just a diagnosis or number. She is passionate about integrative health, blending medication management with lifestyle changes, nutrition, supplementation and nutraceuticals, and other complementary therapies to promote overall wellness. Shaina believes in empowering her patients by equipping them with the tools and knowledge they need to make lasting changes that support their mental and physical health.

A lifelong learner, Shaina is always eager to expand her knowledge. She loves continuing education and is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest research and therapeutic techniques to ensure her patients receive the best possible care. She also has personal interests in self sufficiency.

At the core of Shaina's practice is a genuine desire to help individuals and families overcome obstacles and thrive. Whether it’s managing mental health, navigating the challenges of working motherhood, or simply finding ways to live healthier, Shaina is committed to supporting each patient on their unique journey. She’s excited to bring her expertise, personal experiences, and holistic approach to the community, offering compassionate care that meets the unique needs of her patients.
